2018 donations tally with Charity Miles

As I have said in my previous post Get Paid to Exercise. I am!, I am a fan of the Charity Miles app. It’s easy to be when you know how it makes it super easy and possible to donate to charities most dear to your heart for just simply staying active. The app is free to download and once the account is set-up, you may choose whatever charity organization you would love to donate to available on the app. There are many organizations included.  I have been using it for about 2 years now and I want to give you my 2018 summary on Charity Miles. I really feel good about being able to donate money this way, especially when my pockets seems a little empty at times. (Not a sponsored post, btw.)

Charity Miles is an app that gives an incentive to people to stay active. For every mile completed and logged on the app, I get paid $0.25. Each mile counts and accrues over time. In 2018, I tallied a donation of $117.50. I earned it by doing something I’m already doing anyway and it makes me feel good that I’m doing something to help other as well.

The purpose of this post is not to brag that I’m donating to organizations; but, I want to share the word and get it around that finding money to donate to charity organization you care about can be as simple as walking every day. If you find that you are short on money to donate, this is a great opportunity to be able to do so.

Here’s are the organizations I donated to in 2018

  • January
    • Feeding America
    • Back on my Feet
  • February
    • American Diabetes
  • March
    • American Diabetes
  • April
    • American Diabetes
    • Vision Spring
  • May
    • Vision Spring
  • June
    • Vision Spring
    • Habitat for Humanity
  • July – December
    • Habitat for Humanity

As I have mentioned, I have accrued a total donation of $117.50 for the 2018. I am looking forward to collecting more towards other organizations for 2019, for however long Charity Miles decide to help me save and donate. I believe I can top $117.50 this year, especially with the help of these free exercise apps I‘m currently using, some of which I can even connect to Apple Health and then Dick’s Sporting Goods to earn extra money. Super easy to do and it’s just works on the background of my phone collecting mileage! I can switch to different organization of my choosing at any time once I have ended the active session. Most of my 2017 was donated towards USO.

This morning, I have 1.77 miles logged in thus far, continued from yesterday’s. I just turned in 6 miles yesterday too. The miles accrue until I submit it. Overtime, it makes a big difference. I don’t get to see the money itself. It gets donated directly to the organization. I feel great knowing I’m doing something proactive to help others, however minimal they may seem.

Will you give Charity Miles a try?

Until next time
