Free Online Education and eLearning Courses

Since learning about Lynda.com, I have been taking courses to improve myself.  I have not currently tried it with my children; but it looks like this Education and eLearning category might be of great use to them as it covers PSAT, SAT, and ACT prep.  Pre-Algebra and Algebra are also covered here, as well as College Application Essay Writing. This category has a huge focus on Educators.  There’s bound to be something of interest to you, so please check it out.  I should note that I do not get any compensation for promoting Lynda.com.  I just really love promoting free educational resources. To learn more about Lynda.com, read my previous post here.

Lynda.com offers 12 grouped categories.  Education + eLearning is the 7th of the 12 categories I have covered thus far.  I created a separate blog post for each category to minimize the size of the blog entry and to make it easier to read thru and look through. Below, you will find a list of Topics and Softwares available under this category.  If you are looking specifically for a software or topic, press Command + F (Mac) or Ctrl + F (Windows) to jump straight to the topic or software.  You may also browse thru the available resources by simply scrolling down.

I will definitely look more into this category during the summer months and see how it can prepare the kids for the upcoming school year.  I have to give them something educational to do too, right?!  I’m definitely loving on Lynda.com.  I certainly appreciate that it is offered for free by my local library. Check what other benefits your local library offers you.  If you are interested in Lynda.com and a free member to the site is not available to you, there is a 1 month free membership offered at the site to give you a chance to check it out at your leisure.  I love free educational resources.
